Abstract

The article provides information on the force of infection issue of the upper respiratory tract disease (URTD) and its impact to the gopher tortoises' survivability. It mentions the morbid impact of the URTD to the population of wild animals, particularly the gopher tortoises. Researchers have determined that the force of infection and its impact to these creatures remained uncertain. In addition, the researchers have found out that the seropositivity of these tortoises have higher chance to survive from the URTD compared to the tortoise with no seropositivity.
