Abstract

The article provides information on the adverse effects of bottom trawling to the fishes and other living creatures thriving on the benthic regions of the Irish Sea. It mentions that there are several studies have been conducted in determining the damages of the bottom trawling to the various creatures living on the deep regions of the sea. Such creatures include sea otters, fishes, lobsters, and other marine species. It highlights that the food cycle of these creatures are also affected by the said method of fishing.
