Abstract
- Presents a report on light and its role as a crucial environmental signal. How light is perceived and transduced by at least two principal groups of photoreceptors, phytocrhomes and cryptochromes; Findings that the modulation of physiological responses in plants is achieved by genetic interaction between photoreceptors; Genetic interaction between the Arabidopsis photoreceptors phyB and cry2; Conclusion that the photoreceptors interact in nuclear speckles that are formed in light-dependent fashion.
