Abstract: The article offers information on the track plan of the 11 x 19-foot switching layout of the Oakland, Antioch, & Eastern Ry. in Sacramento, California. The author states that the interurban origins, short trains steep grades and minimal facilities in the place would make it suitable for developing an HO scale layout. The advantageous aspects of this design is the consideration of establishing the layout in four discrete phases. An illustration of the plan layout for the railway is presented.
