Abstract
- The article examines the use of so-called "mommy bloggers," mothers who blog on child-rearing and other issues, in marketing. Companies including Wal-Mart Stores and Procter & Gamble have attempted to capitalize on the popularity of these blogs with women in a variety of ways, ranging from sending out free samples to bloggers in the hope they will discuss the product to actually hiring several of the most prominent bloggers to create advertising.
