Abstract
- The article discusses the financial crisis in the U.S. It is stated that many credible economists and writers have predicted that the U.S. will face major economic chaos. The author thinks that the true problem is much deeper than the subprime mortgage scandal or automotive industry ineptitude and goes back over 20 years. He informs that in 2007, total public debt was 76.75% of gross domestic product and beginning 2009 the total debt was 181.4% of GDP.
