Abstract: Definitions of terms related to shopping centers that begin with the letter "R" are presented. "Rate of return on assets" determines the income generated by the investment compared to the cost of the investment stated as a percentage. "Real estate taxes" refer to charges imposed on all owners of real estate in the area of the taxing authority. "Retailing" is defined as the business activities concerned with selling goods to ultimate consumers.
