Abstract

The article discusses the findings of a study which examines the link between self-reported binge-eating behavior and responding in a food-reinforcement operant task performance under a fasting and fed condition. The study revealed that operant task performance is associated with hunger rating after water preload consumption across all subjects and with binge eating disorder (BED) status after caloric preload. Also stated is the association between food break point (BP) and beck depression inventory (BDI) under noncaloric preload condition.
