Abstract

The article focuses on the movement against homework among parents in North America. It relates how Christine Hendricks of Glenrock, Wyoming discovered the negative effects of too much homework on her child. It discusses the outcomes of the actions taken by Frank Bruni to limit homeworkfor school children in Toronto, Ontario. It provides an overview of research which found that too much homework is not essential for children's education. It outlines the reasons for the decision of schools and teachers to continually give too much homework. INSET: joining the revolution.
