Abstract
- The article reports that Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) is attempting to cut 1,400 tonnes of packaging in 2009 through the introduction of changes in the packaging of its products. It states that the move came after a step to reduce cardboard waste in 2008. According to Martin Shuker, managing director for Great Britain and Ireland, the changes demonstrate the firm's commitment to sustainable business practices. The updated packaging features biodegradable paper rather than cardboard and foil.
