Abstract
- A spherical alloy was tested against a conventional lathe-cut amalgam in clinical trials. Results indicated that both alloys had comparable marginal breakdown rates. However, the three dentists who placed the restorations showed decided differences in marginal breakdown rates for their patients. Operator variable was the most significant finding.
