Abstract
- This article discusses strategies for preventing reinfection of the periapical tissues following root canal therapy. intradental and apicostomical approaches to collecting cultures and determining the efficacy of a root canal in bacteriological control are described. The effective use of these techniques and the root-amputation method for diagnosing continued infection following a root canal is explored.
