SOME METHODS FOR THE CONTROL OF PERIAPICAL INFECTION.

This article discusses strategies for preventing reinfection of the periapical tissues following root canal therapy. intradental and apicostomical approaches to collecting cultures and determining the efficacy of a root canal in bacteriological control are described. The effective use of these techniques and the root-amputation method for diagnosing continued infection following a root canal is explored.
