Abstract

Tritiated 4-androstene-3,17-dione was incubated with human submaxillary gland homogenates. In 180-minute incubations, human submaxillary gland converted 4-androstene-3,17-dione predominately to testosterone and to a lesser extent, 5α-androstane-3α,17β-diol and androsterone. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
