Abstract

The article highlights several court cases in the U.S. The Air Transport Association of America versus Andrew Cuomo regarding the New York's Passenger Bill of Rights has preempted the states from exercising law related to price, route, service of an air carrier, however, it requires the airlines to provide the basic needs of its passengers which include water, restroom and food. Reliable Consultants Inc. against Ronnie Earle cites that the Texas law on selling, advertising or lending sexual device violates Due Process. The Chicago Lawyers' Commission for Civil Rights Under Law Inc. against Craigslist Inc. questioned the move of Craigslist to create an Internet meeting place that discriminates some of its participants.
