Abstract: The article discusses a study on the reduction abilities of homo and heterofermentative lactobacilli in the mouth. Researchers subjected 2, 3, 5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTC) to cultures of lactobacilli. It was discovered that homofermentative lactobacilli reduced TTC more effectively than heterofermentative bacteria.
