A COMPARISON OF THE SNYDER COLORIMETRIC TEST WITH THE LACTOBACILLUS COUNT USING ROGOSA MEDIUM.

The article reports on methods for evaluating dental caries activity. The methods of lactobacillus count and the Snyder colorimetric test are compared using the Rogosa medium. Study participants included 1,049 Naval recruits whose saliva was taken and tested using both the lactobacillus count and the Snyder colorimetric test. It was found that the results obtained using both methods of caries evaluation are correlated.
