Abstract
- The article outlines the phases to support the data-centric service-oriented architecture (SOA). SOA refers to an environment in which discoverable, accessible, interoperable and trusted services are business applications aligned with business goals. The purpose of a data-centric SOA transition is to allow organizations to better leverage new and existing information technology (IT) investments to support business requirements. The focus of the architect and plan phase is on architectural alignment, gap analysis and transition planning. The next phase centers on decoupling data from systems to provide the basis for an information warehouse.
