Abstract

The article presents an inquiry regarding violations to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). The inquirer asked whether requiring students to pass plagiarism documents to their instructors is a violation of students' rights under FERPA. The Family Policy Compliance Office (FPCO) responded that such documents are not included as education records of the students; thus, passing plagiarism documents is not a violation to students' rights.
