Abstract
- The article discusses the highlights of the Blackpool & Fylde Metal Detectors Club (MDC) meeting in England in November 2008 which featured a history quiz organized by Stan Newark. Find of the Month competition winners were Henry VII half groat of John Newton for the Coin Pre-1662 category, William and Mary halfpenny of John Rigby for the Coin Post 1662 category, and Shoe buckle by Graham Turner for Artefact Post 1662 category. It was announced that television personality and historian Mark Olly will be the guest speaker in the December 2008 meeting.
