The article discusses the move of several companies in India in adopting a telecommuting policies in their organization. Accordingly, the paper cited the cases of Simone Premji and Sameer Deshmukh who are part of a growing number of employees opting for virtual workplaces or telecommuting. It is highlighted that the main objective of this work-from-home programmes is to cut costs, increase productivity, and win the loyalty of the employee in the organization.
