Abstract

The article offers information on the development of a versatile loudspeakers as thin as paper by researchers in China. It was found that thermoacoustic effect, very thin films of carbon nanotubes could emit loud sounds when an audio frequency current is applied, thus they built a loudspeaker by placing a thin film of carbon nanotubes, which is about 10 nanometers in diameter, on top of two electrodes and applying a sinusoidal voltage.
