The article discusses how the Internet is a tool for researchers and scholars for exchanging information and ideas, as well as a way for them to communicate and collaborate with colleagues. Commented on is censorship in Nigeria. An examination of how the Internet is a tool for disseminating and publishing information is provided. Also discussed are the various factors for why library materials have been constrained in Nigeria, which is why, according to the author, using the Internet has the potential to remedy some of the problems through electronic publishing and file sharing.
