Abstract

The article presents reports which identify a selection of significant developments and aim to acknowledge work conducted in and beyond the Anglo-American areas of the subdiscipline. It tackles several trends challenging the centers and hegemonies of White, Anglophone, western geography. It emphasizes how social geography can be reorientated and energized by the contrasting perspectives presented. The distinctive features toward indigenous, more-than-White/Anglo-American geographies are examined.
