Abstract
- The article presents the political outlook for Pakistan in 2009. It is expected that the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India from November 27-28, 2008 and the Indian allegations of Pakistani complicity would break up the peace process between India and Pakistan which was started in 2004. It is also anticipated that the international mediation and Islamabad's spirit of co-operation will help prevent the two long-time rivals from falling back into confrontation mode.
