Abstract
- The article presents the highlights of ophthalmology in the 20th century in Sweden. It states that the Swedish Ophthalmological Society was established on May 30-31, 1908. It notes that the first international meeting of ophthalmologists was held in Brussels, Belgium in 1857. Information on the contributions of Allvar Gullstrand to the field of ophthalmology is provided.
