Abstract

The article discusses the highlights of the workshop Glomus Genome Consortium (GGC) Symposium in Nancy, France from September 16 to 17, 2008. The Joint Genome Institute (JGI) of the U.S. Department of Energy aims to study the Populus genome and its associates by creating a genomics resource for bacterial and fungal associates of the genome. The workshop was held to review that progress on the study of the Glomus genome. Among the presenters were Diederik Van Tuinen and Francis Martin of Institut National de la Recherché Agronomique (INRA).
