Maintenance of Stormwater BMPs.

The article discusses the considerations for maintenance and operation of stormwater best management practices (BMP) in the U.S. BMP maintenance is used for reporting and permitting requirements such as the municipal separate storm sewer system permit program of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System and the stormwater pollution prevention plan reporting. Details of the Minnesota Municipal Public Works statewide survey conducted by the University of Minnesota in 2008 are presented.
