Abstract

The article discusses the study which reveals a strong link between fizzy drink consumption and tooth erosion among teenagers in Great Britain. Research suggests that sparkling drinks are the main cause of increasing tooth erosion. It shows that tooth erosion is 59% higher in 12-year-olds and 220% higher in 14-year-olds who drank fizzy drinks. Many soft drinks have high levels of acidity and titration is the most common method used to test such acidity.
