Abstract

Information about the Heinz W. Arndt memorial lecture held in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory (ACT) on June 5, 2008 is presented. The lecturer discussed about the academic life of Arndt, the climatic change, and economic policy in the region. In addition, he stressed the balance of probabilities in 2008 and the importance of Bayesian decision theory in making economic decisions.
