- The author reports on plans by the U.S. Federal Reserve Board to purchase commercial paper. Reasons why the Federal Reserve is planning on buying the commercial paper are mentioned. The author states that the Federal Reserve plans on purchasing paper starting in October 2008. Prices which the paper will be purchased at are mentioned.
