Abstract

The article reports on the plan of Cisco Systems to acquire PostPath, a Linux-based replacement to Microsoft Exchange providers in Great Britain. The author stated that PostPath aims to eliminate the need for full-time Exchange server administrators which is beneficial to Exchange professionals. In addition, PostPath's product supports Exchange's low level network protocols without using plug-ins. Meanwhile, Cisco is building a Web 2.0 software-as-a-service collaboration portfolio.
