Abstract

National Resources Board of Wisconsin approved the requirement for coal-burning plants to cut mercury emissions by 90 percent through 2015 that is expected to increase residential power bills by $5 to $12 and an increase of $36 to $85 for commercial businesses. Governor's Task Force on Global Warming released its report regarding the reduction of greenhouse-gas emission and the proposal to increase electricity generation from renewables by 2013.
