Abstract
- The article presents a case study of a 32-year-old woman who undergoes a caesarian section and gave birth to a live male infant. The expelled placenta membranes were found to contain a mass of tissues which is reported to be a teratomatous twin fetus. Blood tests and ultrasound scan during pregnancy yielded normal results. However, the woman's first pregnancy ended at six weeks after a missed miscarriage. A discussion of the acardiac amorphous twin is presented.
