Abstract
- Chapter 6 of the short story "The Hangman's Daughter," from the book "Daisy Ashford: Her Book," by Daisy Ashford and Angela Ashford is presented. A letter from C. L. Porter, head warder of the county prison, came asking Mr. Winston to hang Mr. Smith for murdering his wife and three children on early morning the next day. Mr. Winston got worried for he will be leaving her daughter Helen and their visitors Gladys and James Palsey for about three days.
