NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS.

The article presents information on several conferences related to sociology. The sixth world-wide meeting of the International Conference of Social Work (ICSW) will be held in Madras, India in December 1952. The Oslo Institute of Social Research is planning a Conference and Seminar on the problem of comparative social research in Northern European countries in September 1951. The Spring meeting of the Committee for the Social Scientific Study of Religion was held at Harvard University on April 21, 1951 when it was decided to change the name to the Committee for the Scientific Study of Religion.
