Abstract
- The article discusses the "Economic Freedom of North America: 2008 Annual Report" of the Fraser Institute for the U.S. and Canada. The report indicates that Canadian cities except Alberta have low of economic freedom compared to the U.S. influenced by weak fiscal federalism. It claims that the provinces with high levels of economic freedom are characterized by flexible labour markets, smaller government and lower taxes.
