Abstract
- This article discusses the political conditions in Pakistan as of September 2008. It looks at the impact of the resignation of President Pervez Musharraf and the move of the Pakistan Muslim League to quit from the ruling coalition. It attributes the political instability to the reinstatement of Supreme Court judges who had been suspended by Musharraf in 2007. It also highlights the continued security problems that spread beyond the north-western provinces.
