Abstract
- Chapter 9 of the book "Hereward, The Last of the English" is presented. This chapter outlines the circumstances that made Hereward went to the war in Scaldmariland. In Scaldmariland is where the unruly Hollanders or Frisians resided, the thorns that caused many Counts trouble. It outlines the events where he was exiled in Europe and working as a successful mercenary for the Count of Flanders, Baldwin V, and for other nobles.
