Chapter VIII.

Chapter VIII of the book "Growth of the Soil," by Knut Hamsun is presented. It narrates the time had passed since the undecided case of Inger, this time she was already taken by the authorities to confine with her case concealing her pregnancy for her child with Isak. Isak then ask the old friend Olin to help him in their house as well as in his tasks. Moreover, the former Lensmand appeared again, asking for the rock he have seen during his last visit he which believed to be a precious stone.
