Abstract
- Chapter 13 of the book "Around the World on a Bicycle: From San Francisco to Teheran," by Thomas Stevens is presented. It explores the author's experience in settling in Charkhan Valley, a region in Angora, Turkey famous for Charkhan musk-melons. It discusses his accommodation at one of the inns in Bey Bazaar causing curiosity of some fellows on his bicycle. His travel around the town along with Mr. Binns, an Englishman at Angora and his visit to the village governor, Sirra Pasha, is presented.
