Chapter XIV: Cannon Fodder.

Chapter XIV of book "Antwerp to Gallipoli: A Year of the War to Many Fronts and Behind Them" is presented. It explores the experiences felt by war soldiers wounded during a fight. It recounts a story of a member of German Grenadier Regiment who serves as a sentry during a snow-storm and later was sent to the hospital for the amputation of his feet. It also explores the soldier's emotion towards an editor and politicians who talk and write about war but had no courage to face it.
