Abstract

Chapter 16 of the book "Women in Love," by D. H. Lawrence is presented. It relates the confusion felt by Rupert Birkin on the factors that affect the growth of his relationship with his lover named Ursula Brangwen, such as adoption of his own philosophy on the nature of love. Furthermore, it highlights the move of Birkin to ask assistance of Gerald Critch for the justification of his actions to work out his relationship with Ursula.
