Abstract
- The article examines three- (3D) and four-dimensional (4D) ultrasound applications for the examination of fetal thoracic anomalies. According to the authors, the anomalies identified were diaphragmatic hernia, lung dysplasia, skeletal dysplasia with small thorax/thanatophoric dysplasia, abnormal situs, hydrothorax and esophageal atresia. They stressed that 3D-4D technique enhances precise diagnosis and provides better spatial visualization of the anomalies involved.
