Abstract

The article explains the role of the Institute of Parliamentary and Political Law in the struggle to achieve better democracy in Canada. A possible solution to the structural problems relating to the achievement of democracy is the creation of a professional and academic body autonomous from the state but close enough to it. To endow such, body there are two characteristics that should be met: first, it must be apolitical and non-partisan and second, it should be an institute that is designed to conduct analysis, scrutiny, examination and commentary.
