Abstract

The article reports on the significance of WhozThat protocol to computer users in the U.S. The mobile social networking revolution is prevalent, thus paving the way in enriching local social interaction among users. Online social networks is important because it provide a wealth of personal contextual information including name, picture, contact information, gender, relationship status/interests and friendship information concerning user interconnection. WhozThat is motivated by the idea that the rich contextual information from online social networks into the real world of local human interactions, thus enriching local social interaction. Such protocol is advantageous due to its simplicity, energy/bandwidth efficiency, agnosticism and extensibility.
