In industrial products, vibration and noise are often major parameters that need to be considered. It may be necessary to measure material properties, such as stiffness and damping, to determine how vibrations are generated, transmitted, and damped. This article describes a procedure that will allow the standard method for the determination of complex modulus to be used at higher frequencies than otherwise possible.
