Abstract

The article focuses on the sacred precinct built in the heart of the city of Tula, one of the most important ancient cities in the Central Highlands of Mexico. A description of the central position of the sacred precinct is presented. It relates how the elevation of the hill enhanced the pyramids of the precinct. It discusses the construction stages of Tula's monumental precinct, according to excavations. It outlines the differences in the aspects of planning and urbanism between the cities of Tula and Teotihuacan.
