Abstract

The article focuses on the promotion of paperless meetings by several companies and organizations in the U.S. One such example is the Atlanta Green Meetings Council of which its number one initiative was to reduce the amount of paper at every monthly meetings it conducts. As a result, the council saved more than $17,000 in annual printing costs. Others have noted changes in the paper stream such as the Florida Green Lodging Program and Maurer Consulting Group. One low-tech solution is the distribution of conference literature on USB flash drives.
