Abstract: The article presents a study, which examined the best anthropometric indicator of excessive abdominal fat. The study involved 22 women and 18 men, who are assessed according to dual emission X ray absorptiometry (DXA) and anthropometric measurements, including suprailiac skin folds (SF) and abdominal SF. It is found that ABC<subscript>2.5</subscript> ABC<subscript>um</subscript> and abdominal SF are best indicators of abdominal obesity due to its best correlation and explanatory power for abdominalF<subscript>DXA</subscript>.
