Abstract: The article reports on the explosion and subsequent fire at a refrigerated warehouse in Tamahere near Haminton in Zealand in April 2008. The accident has raised concerns on the presence of flammable hydrocarbon refrigerants on the site. The accident resulted in the death of one firefighter and the wounding of seven people.
